Pico X Health Technology Group

A living research network
for indoor environmental health

We are not an academic institution. We are a field-first research network operating across hundreds of real homes and facilities in one of the world’s most demanding indoor climate environments. Our data is real. Our test sites are live.

The Network

What we bring
to a research partnership

Pico X Health operates across mould remediation, antimicrobial coatings, healthy coatings, and AI-powered environmental monitoring — a connected, multi-domain field network where interventions can be measured and validated in real occupied spaces.

500+
Residential test sites across diverse housing types and climate zones
4
Interconnected research domains spanning surfaces, air, coatings, and monitoring
1,300+
Households served — a longitudinal dataset of real indoor environmental outcomes
Real-world tropical field access

Test sites across HDB flats, condominiums, landed properties, offices, and healthcare facilities in Singapore’s year-round high-humidity environment.

Continuous environmental monitoring

PM2.5, CO₂, TVOCs, humidity, and temperature tracked continuously across participating homes via our Aira environmental intelligence platform.

Pre- and post-intervention studies

Structured frameworks for measuring outcomes before and after product application, remediation, or system changes in real occupied environments.

Predictive modelling infrastructure

AMRI (Aira Mould Risk Index) — our proprietary climate-to-indoor-risk correlation model provides a validated baseline for study design and outcome benchmarking.

CleanTech Park laboratory

Professional laboratory at 8 Cleantech Loop, Cleantech Park 3, supporting sample analysis, product testing, and methodology validation with full NDA.

Cross-domain insight

Because we operate across mould, coatings, painting, and air quality simultaneously, we can study how interventions in one domain affect outcomes in another.

Research Domains

Three domains.
One connected network.

Each specialist division maintains its own research programme. Together they form a complete picture of indoor environmental health.

Domain 01 — Mould & Indoor Air Science

Environmental mould and IAQ research

Pico X Mould Removal operates Singapore’s most extensive residential mould research programme. Field studies span species identification, climate-to-risk correlation, dehumidifier effectiveness, HVAC behaviour, and inter-flat condensation dynamics.

Stachybotrys Black Mould Species Analysis — 847 samples across Singapore housing typesDehumidifier Effectiveness Study — 80 homes, 6-month longitudinalWeather-AMRI Correlation — 6 climate parameters, 92.8% humidity correlationInter-Flat Condensation Framework for HDB tropical construction

Domain 02 — Antimicrobial Surface Science

Non-organic ion coating validation & surface protection

Shield23 Pro is built on R&D conducted with Asahi Lifecare and A*STAR’s SIMTech. The coating uses a non-organic ion mechanism — independently tested and validated against SARS-CoV-2 surrogates and MRSA. NEA Class A certified.

Efficacy validation: EV-A71, Murine Hepatitis Virus, Human Coronavirus OC43, MRSANEA-listed Class A self-disinfecting surface coating productR&D origin: Asahi Lifecare × A*STAR SIMTech, Singapore

Domain 03 — Healthy Coatings & Paint Science

VOC, air-purifying & wellness paint research

Pico X Painting researches the intersection of surface coatings and indoor air quality — low-VOC formulations, air-purifying mineral paint systems, antimould paint durability, and the long-term health impact of coating choices in occupied spaces.

Research Collaboration

Partner with the
network behind the data

We are actively looking for research partners — universities, product manufacturers, healthcare institutions, government agencies, and technology companies — who want to validate, test, or co-develop solutions in real indoor environments.

Field validation studies

Test your product or intervention in real occupied homes. We design the study, provide the sites, monitor outcomes, and document results.

Independent efficacy testing

Commission independent, third-party validated testing against our real-world baseline data.

Joint research & grants

Co-author field studies, apply for joint grants, or contribute to ongoing longitudinal programmes.

Data & technology partnerships

Access anonymised field datasets or integrate your sensing technology with our monitoring network.
